Can't answer specifically where Liz Reed came from but never saw it equated specifically to "All Blues," only 'Kind of Blue' as a whole, which I can certainly hear in all kinds of early ABB.
Also can't speak to what Jaimoe said about MFT, but did hear him say the "Dreams" arrangement came from "All Blues" as recently as this past January with the Big Band of Brothers shows, which reinforced what I'd already learned.
I have no idea what Gregg's original sounded like, but it was not in 6/8 time and didn't have the vamp after the chorus, which they got from "All Blues" along with Jimmy Cobb's drum part that Jaimoe played.
Incidentally, when I mentioned Cobb to Jaimoe he said, "I told Jimmy I didn't cop his riff, it was the *only* thing to play on that song" ("Dreams").
I always thought that Elizabeth Reed was influenced by listening to All Blues???
And I remember reading that Jaimoe said that Dreams was My Favourite Things with words!!!!
